Crimea Trip and Center for Citizen Initiatives
It was great to see you in Warsaw for the excellent No to NATO conference!
After our roundtable on Sunday with the discussion about citizen diplomacy, I thought it would be good to send you some information about the trip to Russia including the Crimea that I was on two weeks ago–,
It was great to see you in Warsaw!
Here are some links to the Crimea and Russia trip.
Sharon Tennison was the group leader for the trip. She is the founder of Center for Citizen Initiatives –that has taken groups of US citizens to Russia for 30 years. Her book of citizen to citizen diplomacy is The Power of Impossible Ideas–in the back is the list of hundreds of civic clubs in the US that have sponsored visits of Russian citizens–primarily small business persons.
The CCI website has more info about our trip: http://ccisf.org/category/june-2016-trip/
I have written two articles about the trip:
Before leaving on the trip
After the trip:
Russians Ask Why Do You Demonize Us When We are So Much Like You?
I should have the article about the Crimea out in a few days and will send links.
Peace,
Ann
