Emergency Resolution on NATO for conference

At the CND (Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament) UK Annual Conference in Manchester last weekend the following resolution was passed overwhelmingly.
There was one comment from Student CND that this would be difficult for them as May/June is the main time of the year for exams.

NATO SUMMIT

We have just learnt that the NATO Summit in Brussels in 2017 will be earlier in the year than usual.  It will probably be in May or June, to coincide with the opening of the new NATO headquarters. We therefore urge CND, and particularly Youth and Student CND,  to mobilise for the Summit and prepare leaflets and web material, to distribute when we have the exact date, highlighting NATO’s nuclear armed policies, and giving up-to-date information on the 5 US/NATO nuclear armed bases in Europe from Belgium to Incirlik in Turkey, a short distance from the Syrian border.

We hope those who can will join the No-to-NATO network in Brussels and those at home will raise awareness of NATO’s nuclear armed policies.
