In dem Interview mit Andrea Beck erklärt Wright, warum sie an den Protesten gegen die G20 in Hamburg teilnimmt. Ihr Protest richtet sich gegen die Agenda der G20 – Sie sagt Nein zu der Globalisierung und Nein zur Konzentration des Wohlstandes auf einige wenige. Ann Wright würde sich wünschen, dass sich die G20-Länder mit den Themen Frieden und wie man Konflikte ohne Krieg lösen kann auseinandersetzen.

Ann Wright is a retired United States Army colonel, who left the Army because of her opposition to the Iraq War and engaged in the US peace movement particularly with Code Pink USA.
Wright explains in an interview with Andrea Beck why she is participating in the protest activities against the G20 in Hamburg – she says NO to globalisation and NO to the concentration of wealth and prosperity in hands of very few people. Ann Wright´s wish is that the G20 discuss peace and conflict dissolution without war.

Normale Kriegseinsätze haben die unschöne Nebenwirkung für die kriegführenden Regierungen, dass die eigenen Soldaten tot oder als Krüppel in die Heimat zurückkehren. Das kann die Kriegsmoral stören. Und hier kommen die Drohnen ins Spiel. „Die US-Regierung setzt Drohnen ein, um das Risiko für ihre Soldaten und damit die innere Opposition gegen den Krieg zu minimieren.“
