Great news today! The Nuclear Weapons Ban Treaty was adopted right now!

The president of the Conference Ambassador Whyte asked if consensus was reached. The answer was standing ovations. Nevertheless, the Netherlands asked for voting. The Treaty was adopted by 122 yes votes, 1 no (Netherlands) and 1 abstention (Singapore). Then the delegations started to give their statements. This is a great success for all those who were fighting for this moment. We all will continue until we reach nuclear disarmament.
