list of actions at July 11th, 2018

In the name of peace, and the future of humanity, we call for coordinated world-wide actions to take place on the eve of the Summit – on Wednesday 11 July at 5pm – in support of the demonstration, counter-summit and all peaceful protest during the Summit.(excerpt from the Call for actions)

Participants from 10 NATO member countries attending a preparatory meeting on January 27, 2018 in Brussels commited to organize actions in the capitals of NATO member states on Wednesday, July 11,  at 17:00 (5 pm), during the next international NATO summit meeting.

The actions will oppose NATO and its war policy, and the NATO demand that countries spend 2% of their GDP on their military and the modernization of nuclear weapons*. Especially in EU countries, we also resist PESCO (Permanent Structured Cooperation), the new military alliance of 25 EU countries leading to an European Army.

We ask all peace loving people to support these goals and prepare for actions and educational events at Wednesday, July 11^th 5pm CEST  in their capitals.

* Currently three NATO countries (USA, France, Great Britain) are nuclear powers. The USA have nuclear weapons stationed in Europe in Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, Italy and Turkey. This nuclear sharing is against the NPT (Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons) Treaty, which prohibit nuclear proliferation and nuclear sharing.
