What is the International Coordinating Committee No to War – No to NATO (ICC)?

The ICC is the working body of the network comprised of individuals whose organizations are working in the network. It gets elected by the body of the annual meeting of the network.  Generally the ICC members are nominated by the national or international organizations.

What is the job of the ICC?

The “job” of the ICC is to develop the Network, e.g. in exchanging information and communicate frequently. At least twice a year the ICC (or parts of it) should meet in person. The ICC has the responsibility to intensify/ coordinate communication within the network, to coordinate the work of the network on specific topics, and to develop and conduct events with the network. The ICC fulfills the decisions of the annual meeting. The work in the ICC is voluntary and does not get paid. Working language of the ICC is English.

Working in the ICC one should

  • be part of an organization of the No to War – No to NATO – network,
  • have time and funds to participate in international telephone conferences about every 2-3 months,
  • have the time and funds to participate in meetings in persona about twice a year,
  • be able to communicate (written and oral) in English,
  • have spare time to work for the network’s projects / actions
  • be helping organizing events of the Network
  • be open for compromises and solidarity

Candidates should be nominated until 25th November

In order to have a better basis for decision-making, we ask our member groups to consider in advance if they wish to nominate candidates, preferably by 11/25/2019, so that we can publish them in advance. Elections will take place at the Annual Meeting in London. Please bear in mind, we want to have a gender balanced ICC with usually 2 persons per country.
