Here’s my latest piece on US military propaganda and contamination.  There are lessons here for folks fighting militarism. The United States military is lying to the world about contamination caused by carcinogens routinely used in firefighting exercises on bases.  They’re fabricating stories to escape liability for poisoning millions. They’re pretending to conduct science when the science already exists.

Meanwhile, the Naval Research Lab in Washington operates a “testing lab” on the banks of the Chesapeake Bay 35 miles to the east. The Chesapeake Beach detachment, as it is known, is dangerously contaminated with depleted uranium.  It’s lasting legacy, however, is PFAS contamination.

They’ve severely poisoned the groundwater in the small beach town on the shores of the Chesapeake in Maryland with 241,000 ppt (ug/l) of PFAS  and they’re keeping  it a secret from local townsfolk, most of whom have wells.

The same kinds of criminal behavior are likely occurring in your neck of the woods.
