Nuclear weapons are also being used as a threat in and ahead of the Ukraine-Russia war. Putin tightens the alert of Russian nuclear weapons, Ukrainian president thinks about own nuclear weapons. NATO still has not ruled out the deployment of nuclear weapons in Poland. Modernization of nuclear weapons in Europe is progressing, new nuclear-capable fighter-jets are being acquired.

We want to analyze the situation from the point of view of the No to NATO network on the webinar, develop alternatives and show perspectives for action.

Speakers will be:

Ludo De Brabander is spokes­man for the Bel­gian peace or­ga­ni­za­tion Vrede vzw and a Bel­gian writer.

Tom Unterrainer is Chair of CND and a di­rec­tor of and works for the Ber­trand Russell Peace Foun­da­tion and sits on the La­bour Par­ty In­ter­na­tio­nal Po­li­cy Com­mis­sion.

Moderation: Kristine Karch, Co-chair of in­ter­na­tio­nal No to NATO net­work.
