This International Women’s Day, join us for a webinar with two renowned feminist scholar-activists on “The Gendered Impact of the Korean War: Past, Present, and Future.”

Suzy Kim, professor of Korean history at Rutgers University, will provide a historical account of how North Korean and international women intervened during the Korean War. Na-Young Lee, professor at Chung-Ang University and Chair of the Board at the Korean Council for the Justice and Remembrance for the Issues of Military Sexual Slavery by Japan, will discuss the impact of the ongoing war on South Korean women, including militarized sexual violence, and efforts underway to hold the South Korean government and U.S. military accountable.

The event will be held on March 6 at 7pm ET and moderated by Ji-Yeon Yuh, Women Cross DMZ Board Member and professor at Northwestern University.
