• Nnimmo Bassey is director of the ecological think-tank, Health of Mother Earth Foundation (HOMEF). He was chair of Friends of the Earth International (2008-2012) and Executive Director of Nigeria’s Environmental Rights Action (1993-2013). He was a co-recipient of the 2010 Right Livelihood Award also known as the “Alternative Noble Prize.” His books include To Cook a Continent –Destructive Extraction and the Climate Crisis in Africa (Pambazuka Press, 2012) and Oil Politics – Echoes of Ecological War (Daraja Press, 2016).
• Nick Buxton is the knowledge hub coordinator the Transnational Institute (TNI) and co-editor of the influential book, The Secure and the Dispossessed – How the military & corporations are seeking to shape a climate-changed world (Pluto Press, 2015).
• Emily Gilbert is a professor at the University of Toronto and co-author of “The militarization of climate change” (2012)
• Tamara Lorincz is on the delegation of the Climate Action Network Canada (CAN-Rac) representing the Canadian Voice of Women for Peace & WILPF Canada at COP 28. She is a PhD candidate in Global Governance at the Balsillie School for Int’l Affairs doing research on the military’s impact on the climate and environment. She is also on the international advisory council of World BEYOND War
