On this, the first day of the COPS Climate change conference in Paris, I am writing to call your attention to an important new resource “The Climate-Nuclear Nexus” published by the World Future Council. Jurgen Sheffran, who spoke at our Peace & Planet conference last April is the report’s lead author. After describing the existential threats that both nuclear weapons and climate change pose to humanity and the linkages between them, section 3 points to a range of activities to establish “a foundation for peace that prevents climate change and nuclear war.”

Please take a look and with others in your community, organization, congregation, union, etc. explore ways that you integrate our efforts for human survival with security and dignity for all.
