NATO IN ALL ITS FORMS

Protest in Brussels the 24^th & 25^th of May and in Carhaix the 28th

Defense policies have rarely been as much up for discussion as they are now.
D. Trump’s first trip abroad began with a visit to one of its main allies, Saudi Arabia, with several hundred billion dollars in contracts, mainly for military supplies. Many of us will be gathering in Carhaix (France, Finistère), on May 28th to protest against NATO air and naval maneuvers in Brittany (West French coast) and in the Southwest of France. More than 800 aircraft are expected, over 2000 flying hours. Many Meetings are already proposed in France in front of Mayors, Prefectures and sub-prefectures from the 24^th to the 28^th of May so all of our fellow citizens can express their disagreement.
We also have to give a strong signal to our new President of the Republic against the continuation of the military policy of his predecessor. For E. Macron, the change to 2% of GDP for the Defense budget or even more, the doubling of the nuclear weapons budget is not a problem. The transition from the former Minister of Defense to the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs could be understood as a sign of the European Union’s relaunching efforts by means of a common defense policy, as proposed recently by F. Hollande and A. Merkel? An Europe of defense outside the UN would be just as illegal as NATO.
Our mobilization in the next two weeks will have to be extended in order to the military budgets are going to be redistributed largely to fulfil all social needs.
